There is another interesting story behind the west facing of the Devark temple, in which it is told that a robber named Kalapahad reached Deo while destroying the temples. The priests of the temple prayed to him not to destroy this temple as it was of great importance. Kalapahad placed a condition that if the temple changes its direction, he will not destroy it.
